The Beach House Music Club celebrates 100 weeks of live music in Worthing

At the heart of The Beach House you’ll find live music, alongside homecooked food and local ales of course, and the Beach House Music Club indulges us in this love each week. Every Thursday, local musician Tim Keegan joins us, and often his brings his musical friends, for an evening of tunes and toe-tapping. On Thursday 7th July, he’ll join us for the 100th time, a milestone for this fantastic night of live music in Worthing.

Tim is an acclaimed singer songwriter, perhaps best known for fronting the the group Departure Lounge, as well as his success with solo albums (Foreign Domestic and The Long Game), and strips strips down well known pop songs to reveal their acoustic potential. Drawing influences from Lou Ree13407206_1084049411661364_9153298323580360014_nd, Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, Tim is able to put a unique twist on songs you already know and love, which is a joy to listen to. We’re lucky enough to be bowled over by the musical prowess demonstrated by Tim and his team at The Beach House every week, and you could be forgiven for thinking the weekend has already arrived during his set.

For Beach House Music Club’s 100th Birthday Party, Tim Keegan, Ben Nicholls, Bernd Rest and a special guest or two, will be playing great songs from the twentieth century in their usual idiosyncratic style. Our usual Thursday offer of Steak Frites and a beer or house wine for just £12 will be happening, so you can grab some tasty grub whilst enjoying the evening of live music in Worthing.

The Beach House provides a great place for lunch in Worthing

The Beach House is perhaps most famous for the fantastic burgers we make, which lend themselves to a filling evening meal. However, with such a great selection of dishes on our menu, The Beach House is also a great place for lunch in Worthing, thanks to our sandwiches and light bites!

Of course, our burgers are fantastic for lunch too, but if you don’t fancy a meaty treat, our menu has lots to choose from. Our sharing plalunch in worthingtters provide the perfect ‘picky’ option for that lunch mate date, and our three tasty salads are great if you just fancy a light meal.

For some, lunch means sandwiches, and at The Beach House, we like to think we don’t disappoint on that front. People love picking from a plate of different delights whilst enjoying a chat with their friends, and that’s why our sharing boards are so popular. However, they wouldn’t be so special if it wasn’t for the delicious local cheeses they feature, and that’s all thanks to The Cheese Man.

We know that a decent cup of coffee in the sunshine is hard to beat, and that’s why, in addition to great food and quality local beer, we take pride in supplying visitors to our seafront with artisan coffee in Worthing.

Quality coffee is important, so when we started The Beach House, we enlisted the help of Union Coffee, a company that works directly with farmers. They pride themselves on hand-roasting in small batches, and we’re proud to exclusively offer their coffee in Worthing.

Celebrate Sussex Day in Worthing at The Beach House

16th June every year sees Sussex celebrate the rich heritage and culture of our beautiful county. We’re so proud to be one of many Sussex small businesses, so we’re very much looking forward to celebrating Sussex day in Worthing!

To enable everyone to attend, the celebrations for Sussex Day in Worthing will be held on Sunday 12th June, when festivities will take place around town all day. There will be one of Worthing’s famous markets in South Street, and a variety of different stalls will be in attendance, in addition to entertainment from 10am to 5pm. sussex day in worthing

Anyone who knows Worthing well will know that South Street is just a stone’s throw from the sunny decks of The Beach House, so why not incorporate a home cooked lunch into the Sussex Day celebrations? Our doors will be open, offering gorgeous food, local beers, and delicious artisan coffee. We’ve got a kids menu for smaller tummies, and even the dog is welcome! Sussex Day in Worthing, celebrated on June 12th, is looking to be one to remember, so pop it in your calendars and we’ll see you there!

 

Celebrating 2 years of The Beach House

The Beach House celebrates 2 years in Worthing

It’s difficult to believe that The Beach House was born just two years ago. It’s creation came about through a desire to bring a contemporary bar and cafe that fused a passion for good food, live music, local beers with community atmosphere to the seaside town we had come to love. We like to think that in the last two years, The Beach House has fulfilled that dream nicely, and become the ultimate seaside bar in Worthing.

Through a carefully designed menu with an emphasis on local food, and making the most of our stunning location, we managed to make our bar stand out as the place to be on the seafront.

Of course, this wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity and open hearts of the people of Worthing. The Beach House has been embraced with open arms, and that bear hug continues to this day. The smiling faces and fantastic feedback from all our customers is what makes us tick, and we are eternally grateful to all those who continue to support us.

To celebrate two years of The Beach House, we’re throwing the ultimate party. Join us on Saturday 12th March, when Tony Chestnut will be DJing, which guarantees a night of singing, dancing and fun. The party starts at 8pm, and entry is of course free. We’re excited, and hope to see you there!

In some ways, time has flown, and in others, we’ve seen so much fun happen in and around The Beach House already that it feels like it’s been so much longer. Our beginnings were small, but our growth over the last two years makes us so proud to live and work in Worthing. A big thank-you to all those who have supported us, and we look forward to many years to come!

Mothers Day in Worthing

Now that Valentine’s Day is done and dusted, it’s time to think about that day of the year that we make an extra special effort to celebrate the most important ladies in our lives – our Mum’s. This year, Mothering Sunday comes early on 6th March, and at The Beach House, we’ve got a set menu that Mum’s going to love on Mothers Day in Worthing.

We’re extra excited about the menu this year, as we’re able to offer salmon as our starter, home smoked at our sister bar, The Corner House. We love our food to be as home prepared as possible, so being able to smoke our own fish is something we’re very proud of.
